Trent + Todd live in Lakeview – so we spent the afternoon photographing just that. We started at their condo, walked a few blocks around their neighborhood, and even grabbed a drink at the new Hotel Zachary. The space was super cute, and the bartender even gave us the round for free since it was their engagement session! These to are getting married later this year at I can’t wait to celebrate with them at Ravenswood Event Center!
Dana + Joe’s wedding was one of the last ones we photographed last year – and we loved it! They are one of those couples that you overhear little conversations between just the two of them throughout the day – and you just smile to yourself because you can tell they are not only so in love – but best friends. Fun fact: Joe forgot his pocket square, so he rocked our timeline (a folded up piece of paper) in his pocket instead 😉
It was a beautiful day with some of my favorite Chicago wedding vendors: my own personal hair/makeup team that I used for MY wedding – Brooke Klay and Joey Claeyssen of Arch Apothecary, gorgeous florals from Stemline Creative, one of my favorite Chicago wedding venues Artifact Events, and all the yummy food from Food for Thought. Congrats Dana + Joe – I hope married life is treating you the best!

Lauren + Mike met at work. They were friends first, but according to Lauren she, “harassed him until he would go out with me.” Eventually, her persistence paid off and they got together! They got engaged on Lauren’s 30th birthday – they went to lunch and out for drink at the Robey Hotel. And on the rooftop, Mike gave Lauren her birthday gift – a book full of photos and captions – the last one being a photo of his face and the words “do this goof in the picture above a favor and take this ring.”
Their wedding was last November at Lacuna Lofts. With beautiful magnolia filled bouquets by Northern Greenhouses, leather jacket and sunglasses as accessories, and all the love in the world, Lauren + Mike said I do and the rest is history. Here are a few of our favorite moments…

Kelly + Frank are getting married this year at The Dalcy – but first, Engagement Session. We made sure to include their pup, spent some time in the beautiful west loop alley of RM Champagne and Green Street Smoked Meats, and then ended the session along the Chicago Riverwalk during sunset. We were lucky enough to get some pretty, pretty snowflakes, too (we shot this in January). Their smiles, their love, and a fur baby mean I love this session. And even though the snow is pretty in pictures, I don’t miss it. Stay away snow, it’s spring 🙂 Can’t wait for the wedding, you two!
